Private Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton enlisted in the North Irish Horse between 16 January and 23 February 1909 (No.287 – later Corps of Hussars No.71012).

He embarked for France with A Squadron on 17 August 1914, seeing action in the retreat from Mons and advance to the Aisne.

Hamilton survived the war and was transferred to Class Z, Army Reserve, on 11 February 1919.
